Birds Nest Removal

Black bin bag containing birds nests following removal by Mike Brookes chimney sweep by fireplace

The end of August marks the end of the restrictions against bird’s nest removals. So if you suspect you’ve had birds nesting in your chimney through the spring and summer, now’s the time to book an appointment to have the nest removed. You should also make arrangements to avoid it happening again next year by having a bird guard cowl fitted to the chimney pot to prevent access to the chimney.

Make sure to mention you have a suspected bird’s nest when booking, as these appointments will take longer than a straight forward sweep.

Removing a nest is important to reduce the risk of chimney fires and ensure dangerous fume emissions, such as Carbon Monoxide, are not blocked from being properly vented out of the property.

Don’t wait for your chimney to get this bad! Book now!
